SOUTHERN ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS
The Southern Entertainment Awards (abbreviated as SEAs) has been a staple in southern culture, music and entertainment. SEA Cares, Inc. strives to be a well-known and respected venue and channel that gives independents throughout the South a platform to be heard on. The SEA's was created primarily to acknowledge the accomplishments, impact and influence of the Djs in the South.. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, the annual awards show has grown substantially from its remarkable beginnings at Gibson’s Showcase in 2004.
Since its inception, the three-day event has been held throughout the South. From Nashville, to Tunica, Biloxi, Memphis & Atlanta; and regardless of location, the SEAs has been able to maintain consistency in attendance, in addition to local, national and international media coverage, as well as recognition of reputable and successful independent and mainstream professionals including, but not limited to, Yo Gotti, Nicki Minaj, B.o.B., Conya Doss, Algebra Blessett, Rudy Currence and Big K.R.I.T.. With accompanying networking events throughout the weekend, performances and a one-day film festival, the SEAs, once viewed as a ‘regional event, are now esteemed as a recognizable brand throughout the Country.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Southern Entertainment Awards strives to be a platform that highlights the significance of the dj, showcase independent talent, offer industry support and bridges the many gaps between music, arts and brands. Through tailored efforts, initiatives and consistent outreach, the SEAs always seek to provide a solid foundation for indie talent throughout the South.
